Fire in Calgary, AB.

This message is being sent to you, to inform you of a situation that may impact your services over the next few days.

Early afternoon, on Wednesday (July 11), there was a electrical fire at one of Shaw Cable's primary facilities in Calgary, AB.  This resulted in a major outage of many services in the area, including phone, internet, and website services, for an excess of 20K clients in the Calgary area alone.

As of Thursday (July 12) morning, there have been pockets of outages in the Langley, BC & Surrey, BC regions.  This has lead us to believe the facility outage has affected regions outside of the immediate area(s) within the Calgary core.

As Shaw HelpDesk technicians at this time are unable to troubleshoot network problems, we are unable to confirm if these issues are related, and appreciate your patience while the issues are fixed.
